A year ago, in January 2025, my second book Eminent Distorians: Twists and Truths in Bharat’s History was released. With Mahadev’s blessings and your immense love, it has been a remarkable journey. The book has not only sold well but, more importantly, sparked a much-needed discourse on how Bharat’s history has long been distorted. What gives me even greater satisfaction is seeing the term “distorians” entering popular conversation for our so-called “eminent historians.” And now, one year later, I am delighted to share that the Hindi edition is here — Prakhyat Galpkar. The title, beautifully coined by its translator Arun Tiwari, captures the spirit of the original. Arun ji has poured his heart into ensuring that the essence, intensity, and intent of the English version resonate just as powerfully in Hindi. My heartfelt thanks to my publisher, @praveenBlu ji, and the entire team at @BluOneInk for their unwavering support. As the book is available on #Amazon (amazon.in/dp/9365477328) on preorder, I seek your blessings and encouragement once again. Support this book — not merely because it carries my name, but because it is a sincere effort to reclaim and restore the true history of Bharat. Looking forward to your continued love and support. 🙏 #newbookrelease #books #EminentDistorians #PrakhyatGalpkar #newbookalert

I learnt a long time ago that there is a big difference between making a living and making a life. In the times to come, AI will get increasingly better at the skills that we've used to make a living. Our imperative will be to instead make lives. Not artificial lives. Or artificial lives. But our own lives and of those we love. As machines get better at answering, and solving what they are asked, our work is to get better at asking, at making, creating, and deciding which questions are worth a life, and refusing to outsource that.

Europe built Mao’s image as a tough but wise leader even as Mao murdered millions of Chinese during the cultural revolution. EAM Jaishankar slams duplicitous Europe for arms sales to Pak used in terror attacks on India. Must read piece by @utpal_kumar1 firstpost.com/opinion/mao-le…

Jaishankar’s critique of Western double standards finds a striking historical parallel in the West’s disastrous misreading of Mao Zedong.

The 20th-century Chinese saga was not just a story of Communist strength. It was also a story of Western self-deception.

The willingness of influential Western liberal observers not just to believe Mao’s propaganda but also to sell it to the wider world, projecting him as a “farmer,” “revolutionary,” and “liberator,” remains an oft-ignored factor.

Author and historian Frank Dikötter, in his newly released book 'Red Dawn Over China', offers a powerful reminder that Mao Zedong’s China would not have come into existence but for liberal ambivalence, if not support.

#SaturdayMusings The best brands don't just solve problems. They carry a story worth remembering. A young Indian scientist sits in a British prison and watches Indian soldiers march through torrential rain without raincoats or boots, while British troops remain protected. The image stays with him. Years later, Surendra Mohan Bose and his brothers turn that indignation into innovation, creating #Duckback—India's own waterproof raincoat brand. A century on, the company that began by protecting Indians from the rain now makes specialised equipment for our armed forces. #SaturdayStory

In his piece for @firstpost, Prof @BabonesBhai writes, "Narendra Modi’s record-breaking tenure highlights the difference between governing within democratic constraints and ruling from a position of overwhelming political dominance." "While Nehru ruled an India with little opposition, Modi governs one where every election matters." (Link in adjoining post)
