if WoW reintroduces Illidan and they do what they have done to Turalian in Midnight to Illidan, its over, the game won't be even be worth it anymore. that's WoW's last badass that they hadn't ruin yet. and it's starting to be predictable that if they fucked up Anduin, Malfurion, Thrall, Turalian, its no suprise that they will most likely do so in favor of the shitty new narrative thats plaguing tWoW currently. if you take the bad away from Badass all that you would have is just ass and not the good kind, just the lame and underwhelming kind of ass. FFXIV with Evercold looks like they are going back to their roots they are known for and it will be good as long as one thing doesn't happen. Drama like with dawntrail both in the behind the scenes side of things and in the community cannot happen again otherwise SE had fucked up big time and they had already put themselves in a wide microscope hyping up alot of new features and the Saga for the new story. this is bassically how I see it, ones more likely to impress alot of people and the other is probably gonna devestate alot of people who are hoping the story is gonna get better with all of the unnecessary pussification of their Iconic male characters.

exactly cold take: FFV is the best final fantasy - best job system - best soundtrack - best characters also Cloud is litterally Cecil from FF4 but if Nomura took him and said "lets make him emo and unnecessarily anti social with how many times he says "not interested". if I should add, Cloud is also the most ripped off character in the franchise, not only design wise but character too. litterally Squal and Lightning both come to mind in those aspects and I gotta say the Edgy and brooding twink archetype gets boring if you've seen it in too many shows, movies and games, theres not many attempts of it actually working. unless you switch said twink with masculine adult male (stranger of paradise have done this) then alot of people will get it more since it's more realisitic than hearing what seems to be a teenager trying their hardest to look serious and cool out of cloud.
