Kudos to my collaborator @SaraLago14 for making this possible! 🎉 This study follows a research line in which we are trying to unveil the (often forgotten) role of prestimulus activity and how it can be relevant for understanding Predictive Processing.
New MEG study led by @giorgioarcaramdpi.com/2076-3425/14/10/101… In a (literal & metaphorical) sentence comprehension task, we found that prestimulus alpha in TPJ modulates poststimulus activations in core linguistic areas. Key finding for predictive processing in language! #NEPLab

It’s often reported that autistic adults have higher pitched voices than NT. We replicate this for men, but also find that autistic women have lower pitched voices than NT ones. This asymmetric difference could be due to lower gender stereotypes in autism journals.sagepub.com/doi/ful…
#ESLP2024 brought some great talks and remarkable keynote speakers (but also a lot of mental imagery!), so glad I had the opportunity to be there and present our work to the amazing embodied language community! @bll_berlin#embodiment#NEPLab
