Today I had the pleasure of visiting Owl Tree Children's Cafe. What a wonderfully warm and welcoming place for parents and their children - from newborns to around 7 year olds.

Feeding Families is a charity that battles against food insecurity. They source food boxes that are distributed via partnership organisations. 98% of the parcels are obtained because of fundraising and they welcome any support with this.

Matthew from Good Neighbours invited me to catch up about the volunteer scheme. Good Neighbours aims to help people remain independent, connected and supported in their own homes through practical help and friendly support, funded by Newcastle City Council.

Shine On is a wonderful organisation that supports older people to live independently and stay connected.
I was invited to their monthly social which is free for their visitors who get a lovely lunch, entertainment and transport to the social.

It was my pleasure to join the team at @NCLFoodbank who help people experiencing food poverty by providing food parcels and affordable food.
Their brilliant Pathways programme also supports people to live a life free from hunger.
