🇺🇦🇪🇺 Today is a historic day. Ukraine is launching actual accession negotiations with the European Union. This is the result of the work of tens of thousands of professionals - Ukrainian and European officials, diplomats, parliamentarians, and experts who have worked for years to make this moment possible. This is a victory for millions of Ukrainians who went out to the Maidans twice and defended the irreversibility of their European choice. It is also an achievement of our soldiers, who every day defend not only Ukraine but the very idea of a free Europe at the cost of their own lives. The start of EU accession negotiations marks the beginning of the most important transformation in our country’s history - building effective institutions and a strong economy. It is the only reform that is both a path and a destination: a state with a high quality of life for every person. I was also part of this process because I believe that European integration is Ukraine’s main reform. Not one of many, but the one that embraces everything. Meeting EU standards in the rule of law, anti-corruption, and the quality of institutions is the formula for a successful democratic state. I wish the President, the Government, Parliament and all of us success on this historic journey. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Armed Forces of Ukraine! 🇺🇦

Результат роботи десятків тисяч фахівців: українських і європейських урядовців, дипломатів, парламентарів, експертів, які роками наближали цей момент. Це - перемога мільйонів українців, які двічі виходили на майдани і відстояли незворотність свого європейського вибору. Це - здобуток наших воїнів, які щодня ціною власного життя боронять не лише Україну, а й саму ідею вільної Європи. Початок переговорів про вступ до ЄС означає старт найважливішої трансформації в історії країни, побудову ефективних інституцій та сильної економіки. Це єдина реформа, яка одночасно є і шляхом, і ціллю - держава з високим рівнем життя для кожної людини. Я теж був частиною цього процесу, бо вірю: інтеграція в Європу - це головна реформа України. Не одна з багатьох, а та, що охоплює все. Відповідність стандартам ЄС у верховенстві права, антикорупції, якості інституцій - це і є формула успішної демократичної держави. In the Kremlin’s distorted logic, fear is meant to break people’s will, while the destruction of memory is meant to make us forget who we are. When a russian shahed drone strikes the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra - a UNESCO World Heritage Site - it is not merely an act of terror. It is a war against faith and historical memory. When the Dovzhenko Film Studio is burning, along with masterpieces from the Golden Collection of Ukrainian cinema, it is the destruction of something that can never truly be restored. This is how their predecessors acted in the last century: destroying churches, burning archives, and erasing names. They tried to destroy the very idea of Ukraine. They failed then. They will fail now. russia is a terrorist state. An aggressor. A killer. The time will come when it is held accountable for every strike, every destroyed city, and every life taken. Коли російський «Шахед» влучає у Києво-Печерську лавру - пам’ятку світової спадщини ЮНЕСКО - це не просто теракт. Це війна з релігією та історичною пам’яттю. Коли горить кіностудія ім. Довженка з шедеврами «Золотого фонду» українського кінематографа - це знищення того, що неможливо відновити. Так само діяли їхні попередники у минулому столітті: нищили храми, спалювали архіви, стирали імена. Намагалися вбити саму ідею України. Не вийшло тоді. Не вийде і зараз. росія - держава-терорист. Агресор. Вбивця. Прийде час і вона відповість за кожен удар, за кожне зруйноване місто, за кожне вбите життя. Вічна пам’ять загиблим. Співчуття їхнім близьким. It is a day to honour the people who have shown the world that the future of warfare is shaped not only by the quantity of weapons, but also by creativity, technology, and courage. It is Ukrainian drone operators, engineers, and developers who are writing a new chapter in military history every day. They find the enemy where others cannot. They deliver precise strikes where it once seemed impossible. They save the lives of our Defenders. The Unmanned Systems Forces have become a symbol of how Ukrainian ingenuity and determination can change the rules of the game even in the most challenging war. Thank you to everyone behind these achievements - on the front line, in design bureaux, production facilities, laboratories, and training centres. About Friendship Once, my father told me: “As long as you hold office, there will be many people around you who call themselves your friends. But when you lose that position, they will disappear.” At the time, I replied that I understood. True friendship does not depend on positions, opportunities or circumstances. That is why I have always been at peace with the fact that some people choose to distance themselves or disappear from my life. That is a choice of each and everyone. Something different has always mattered more to me. Those are the people who stay by your side not because of your jobs, opportunities or status, but because of humanity, sincerity, and mutual trust. And I am grateful to have such people in my life. Over the years, our friendships have not weakened - they have become stronger and deeper. On Friends Day, I want to sincerely thank everyone who has been there along the way. Thank you for your friendship, support, honesty and loyalty - these are among life’s greatest treasures. And they also come with great responsibility. And a special word of gratitude goes to my Father, who was not only my Father, but also my friend. A True Friend.

Про дружбу. Колись Батько сказав мені: «Поки ти на посаді, поруч буде багато тих, хто називатиме себе твоїми друзями. Але коли ти втратиш крісло - вони зникнуть». Тоді я відповів, що я це розумію. Справжня дружба не залежить від посад, можливостей чи обставин. Тому я спокійно ставлюся до того, коли хтось свідомо віддаляється або зникає з мого життя. Це вибір кожного. Для мене завжди важливішим було інше. Люди, які залишаються поруч не через посади, не через можливості і не через статус, а через людяність, щирість і взаємну довіру. І я вдячний, що такі люди є в моєму житті. З роками наша дружба не слабшає, а навпаки, стає міцнішою і глибшою. У День друзів хочу щиро подякувати кожному, з ким поруч. За дружбу, справжність, підтримку, чесність, вірність - і це велика цінність. А ще велика відповідальність! І окрема, особлива вдячність - моєму Батькові, який був для мене не лише Батьком, а й другом. Справжнім Другом.

For years, the kremlin tried to keep Armenia within its orbit - through influence, propaganda, political pressure, blackmail, and threats. It failed. The Armenian people made their own choice. And this is not only a victory for Pashinyan - it is another defeat for moscow. I wish Armenia peace, freedom, and prosperity.

Journalist Day Over the years of my professional activity I have had the privilege of meeting many professional, principled, and dedicated people in Ukrainian journalism. Today, I especially value what they are doing during the war. Ukrainian journalists document russian crimes every day, bring the truth about what is happening in Ukraine to the world, work under shelling, travel to liberated territories, tell the stories of our people, and preserve the record of this war for future generations. Thank you to every journalist for your work, dedication, and courage. Today, we also remember the media professionals whose lives were taken by russian aggression. Eternal memory to them…

День журналіста. За роки роботи мені пощастило познайомитися з багатьма професійними, принциповими й небайдужими людьми в українській журналістиці. І сьогодні я особливо ціную те, що вони роблять під час війни. Українські журналісти щодня документують злочини росії, відкривають світу правду про те, що відбувається в Україні, працюють під обстрілами, їздять на деокуповані території, розповідають історії наших людей і зберігають свідчення цієї війни для майбутніх поколінь. Дякую кожній і кожному за працю, небайдужість та мужність. Згадуємо сьогодні і медійників, яких ми втратили через російську агресію. Світла памʼять… З Днем журналіста України!

Children must not be killed by missiles, drones or shelling. And no parent should ever have to bury their child. It is a grief that cannot be accepted or coped with. Children should not wake up to explosions, hide in shelters or know what an air raid alert or the loss of a loved one means. Childhood should be about safety, dreams and the future rather than war. Today, on the Day of Remembrance for Children killed as a result of russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, we remember that since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has killed 707 Ukrainian children, while at least 2 548 have suffered various injuries. Behind every number is a life cut short, dreams left unfulfilled, families shattered and pain that will last forever. The aggressor must be held accountable for every crime. Eternal memory to all the innocent children of Ukraine whose lives were taken too soon.

Діти не повинні гинути від ракет, дронів і обстрілів. А батьки не повинні хоронити своїх дітей. Це горе, яке неможливо прийняти чи пережити. Діти не повинні прокидатися від вибухів, ховатися в укриттях, знати, що таке повітряна тривога чи втрата близьких. Дитинство має бути про безпеку, мрії та майбутнє, а не про війну. Сьогодні День вшанування пам’яті дітей, які загинули внаслідок збройної агресії Росії проти України. Станом на сьогоднішній день з початку повномасштабного вторгнення росія вбила 707 українських дітей, 2548 дітей отримали поранення різного ступеня тяжкості. За кожною цифрою обірване життя, нездійснені мрії, зруйновані родини та біль, який залишиться назавжди… Ворог має відповісти за кожен злочин. Світла пам’ять усім невинно вбитим дітям України.

Birthday of Kyiv - a city that knows how to stay strong even when it seems there is no strength left. Today Kyiv is an example for all Ukrainians of how a city can live, endure, and preserve its humanity in the most difficult times. In the fifth year of the full-scale war, our capital continues to survive endless air raid alerts and massive attacks with missiles, shahed drones, and ballistic weapons. It endures nights of fear when no one knows what the next minute will bring and mornings after strikes when exhausted people step outside and carry on with their lives. And each time Kyiv rises again. I have lived in Kyiv for 12 years and I can still hardly find the words to explain the city’s unique atmosphere. Perhaps the secret lies in its people - strong, kind and courageous people who know how to empathise, support one another, and stand together. That is exactly why I love Kyiv. And I am certain that this city will never surrender - neither to the enemy’s physical terror nor to its psychological pressure. Happy City Day to all Kyiv residents. День народження Києва - міста, яке вміє бути сильним навіть тоді, коли здається, що сил уже не залишилось. Сьогодні Київ для всіх українців приклад того, як місто може жити, триматися і зберігати людяність у найважчі часи. На пʼятий рік повномасштабної війни наша столиця продовжує переживати безкінечні тривоги, масовані удари ракетами, шахедами і балістикою. Переживає ночі страху, коли не знаєш, що буде за хвилину, і ранки після обстрілів, коли втомлені люди виходять надвір і продовжують жити. І щоразу Київ піднімається. Живу в Києві 12 років, і досі не можу дібрати слів, щоб пояснити особливу атмосферу міста. Певно, весь секрет у тому, що це місто красивих і мужніх людей, які вміють співпереживати, підтримувати і бути поруч. Люблю Київ саме за це. І впевнений, що місто ніколи не здасться ні фізичному терору ворога, ні його психологічному тиску. Вітаю всіх киян із Днем міста. Бажаю Києву миру, щасливих дитячих голосів у дворах і тиші без сирен.
