From render to prototype! Our designers are testing an early version of one of our upcoming CDT-AEROMAX add-ons, the control panel module! This will add extra button inputs to your flightstick (featuring customisable RGB LEDs of course!), giving your AEROMAX extra functionality within a single unit. Following feedback from pilots on earlier previews our R&D team are working on implementing changes to upcoming modules such as being able to use the CDT-AEROMAX Throttle Module simultaneously. Our team had a bit of fun and also put together an emergency stop button module for when that SAM site takes you out one too many times! 😄 We’re looking forward to sharing more about the control panel module and others coming to the AEROMAX lineup in the future. The CDT-AEROMAX Flightsick has been a huge hit with the flightsim community, providing the incredible smoothness and precision granted with its full CNC metal axis gimbal! But we've heard the requests - some virtual pilots would prefer lighter springs on their CDT-AEROMAX. The springs chosen for it's standard configuration provide accurate centering when using the clutch dampers, as well as suitable tension for either desktop or mounted setups. We've been testing two new additional spring sets for the CDT-AEROMAX Flightstick; a "Light Spring Set" and an "Extra Light Spring Set". When moving from the standard spring set to the extra light spring set, this reduces the spring force at maximum deflection from approximately 1.6kg down to 0.7kg, with the light spring set sitting in between. Will you be swapping the springs on your CDT-AEROMAX Flightstick? Keep an eye on our page for news on availability!

Helicopter pilots - report in! We’ve been paying close attention to the comments posted on our recent Cyclic teasers and we’ve noted one comment which has came up multiple times… hats! The real grip we are modelling from features 3 x 2-way ( push) hats, with 2 x 4-way ( push) hats. However, there have been repeated requests to make all the hats into 4-way ( push) hats to increase the versatility of the grip. So the VIRPIL R&D Team got to work - they’ve modified the design to allow for all hats to operate as 4-way ( push) hats, and yes, they are gated! The hat caps have also been modified to allow the previously 2-way switches to operate comfortably as 4-ways. Is this shaping up to be your next flight grip upgrade? 🚁🕹️
