If you sign up for a free trial attached to a subscription, there will be an auto-renewal unless canceled - as written in the terms before signing up. The auto-renewal can be canceled through the iOS or Google Play Settings app.

⁃If you try to save Pro modifications while using the free version of the software, you will be prompted to upgrade. Otherwise, any Project may be saved for free!

Currently, the main changes are:
⁃The VN Pro is allowed to store a maximum of 100 drafts. For more than 100 drafts, you can either delete your draft and clear it in the trash, or use project sharing to back up locally in order to continue to create drafts.
