At our recent AGM Owen, our current Pipe Staff Sergeant, was re-elected to a further 3 year term. We are also very pleased that our tenor drummer, Sukhvinder (Suki) has been elected to a 3 year term as our new Drum Major. Congratulations to you both.

On this day we celebrated the exceptional career of outgoing Chief Constable Adam Palmer, as he handed over the command of the department to Chief Constable Steve Rai. Congratulations Gentlemen. In the following video, the Pipe Band leads the final march past for Chief Palmer.
On Sunday Sep 28th, the band had the honour of playing for the BC Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony, held on the BC Parliament grounds. Thanks to the Sungers for providing the following clip.
A picture of the @VPDPipeBand Pipe Major was seen on a tram in Basel, Switzerland this week. It was taken last year at the Basel Tattoo, where the band performed. The #VPD Pipe Band began in 1914, and has performed and competed all over the world.

Happy International Bagpipe Day! We remember the warm reception we received in France. and Belgium in 2024. We were honoured to perform at the Juno Beach commemoration on the 6th of June and at the Menin Gate ceremony in Ypres a week later.

The Band is pleased to be participating in the Chinatown Spring Festival Parade, taking place this Sunday, Feb 2. The parade steps off at 11 am from the Millennium Gate on E. Pender and travels east to Gore before turning west along Keefer and back to Carrall. Kung Hei Fat Choi!
Last evening at our AGM, Drum Major Dave Caven announced his retirement from both the Vancouver Police Department and the Pipe Band. Congratulations and best wishes Dave as you move on to new endeavours. We will miss your friendship, leadership and support you provided the band.
Last evening, our band celebrated the festive season with our annual Christmas/Holiday party, held at the Deep Cove Yacht Club. Presentations were made to retiring Pipe Staff Sergeant Sandy following 18 yrs of service and to Carol, our Bands Person of the year.
