VT was the 1st state to hold Big Oil accountable for their mess through a Climate Superfund. Now, similar legislation has been proposed federally– the Polluters Pay Climate Fund Act. @sensanders, @senpeterwelch, and @repbeccab, THANK YOU for cosponsoring this vital bill.

This bill will make an excellent complement to legislation that will be introduced next session in Vermont to bring RCV to the next round of presidential primaries in 2028. Ranked Choice Voting gives Vermonters more voice, more choice, and a stronger democracy. #RCV #vtpoli
Today, I'm introducing the Ranked Choice Voting Act. By requiring ranked choice voting in primaries and general elections for Congress, we'll guarantee that all winners have the broad support of the folks they’ll represent.

The Renewable Energy Standard and Pollinator Protection Act passed overwhelmingly during yesterday's veto override session, but the data privacy bill (H.121) fell short of the votes needed. We'll be back next session to keep pushing for comprehensive data privacy for Vermonters.

We cannot make real progress tackling the climate crisis without the biggest polluters doing their part. This is a step in the right direction toward protecting our state and entire planet from even further damage.

Right now VTers' web searches, online purchases & location check-ins are harvested, bought & sold completely legally. That unchecked spread of our information exposes consumers to many threats like scams, identity theft, harassment and discrimination. H.121 begins to change that.
