Vibe-spiking: When you want to build a feature/functionality piece, you spend 10 minutes trying to have an AI model oneshot (or a few iterations) the code. If it works, great! Otherwise, discard the code completely and take a more measured approach.
x402 from Coinbase seems like a pretty big deal. The AI Agent use-cases are certainly interesting, but if I'm understanding correctly, they essentially created an internet cash microtransaction protocol.
Interesting to see how the OpenAI board dynamic changed over time. Seems from the final board state when Sam Altman fired that there was a knee-jerk overreaction from the lead scientist (who now regrets the decision) and 2 AI governance people. loeber.substack.com/p/a-time…
Apple trying to protect eye-gaze privacy is laudable, BUT, if devs don't have any input prior to click, that means only apple software will have gaze highlighting. Seems like either an oversight or they have some workaround?
People can throw shade on the "bullshit machine" component of ChatGPT, it's probably good to remind people of the shortcomings of this generative AI and to NOT blanket trust it (human must always be in the loop). But as an information technology tool it's excellent.
WOW the Quest Pro controllers are a serious upgrade. I didn't realize how unbalanced Rift and Quest controllers were until I held the QPro controllers in hand. Slightly heavier, but the very centered weight feels GOOD.
Why are a bunch of these shorts platforms removing the ability to rewind/fast forward? Is there a streaming optimization reason? Even if so, it's a terrible decision.
