Started the Christmas decorations. Some decorations are like old friends. P and A are coming tomorrow “to do Nanny’s tree” as the poor old girl can’t be trusted to do it herself 😂

So P did a great job. A ran round the coffee table and sneaked in and out of the kitchen to pinch crisps and marshmallows. At one point I said “ oh is that an elf?” “Don’t be silly ,nanny, elves don’t live in houses with grannies and grandpas”😂😂😂

The village lights are up! This tradition was started when our lovely shop keeper, Martyn , died suddenly. It had been a wish of his that the village should have Christmas lights and this was set up in his memory. I’m raising a glass to lovely Martyn 🥂🍺🎄
