This is so funny how often I have moments like: "uuh, that's is why they made it this way in game A". It's always easy to say: "they/you should have done it this way" as you just don't know how deep it will affect other systems and decisions.

I was working hard on main game mechanics for quite a while. It's hard and I got a bit tired. So today I've decided to get a little bit back to buildings generation. Here is a slight improvement in generating animal farms.

Around 10 people played the game. Got very nice feedback that aligns with my vision, which made me very happy. I've sent keys to different publishers that fit my game the best. We'll see if anyone will be interested in it ๐Ÿคž

Right now you can reach max village stage in around 40min of gameplay. The balance is not yet great, but I can already catch the flow state

Am I the only one who feels that making a game is a lot like that antibiotics in a petri dish experiment? You dig and try mechanics, hit a wall for a while and then suddenly discover a small breakthrough that opens up a lot of new possibilities

I'm not fully satisfied with actions mechanics in my game and I was thinking how to improve them. And.. I think I found smth really interesting. I'll probably finish balancing the game in its current state to share it with people and get feedback. But then I will try new idea

After rebalancing everything, first games felt very rough. Although it slowly shapes into smth interesting

Just a couple of points left on my board before I can focus on playing the game and setting up balance. The goal is to polish 30 minutes of gameplay enough to share with a closed circle of people

I wonder if @StrayFawnStudio would like to check the game in an early state soon? ๐Ÿ˜

Hey! I'm making a City Builder game where you set up production using worker actions. You'll need to choose the right actions to achieve optimal stats and improve performance of your buildings

Once in a while I still notice generations that didn't happen to me before :)

Moved all my building balance data into a spreadsheet and wrote an importer for TSV format in UE. One of the best decisions.

I love figuring things out by myself. So there are very funny 'aha' moments when I'm working on game mechanics, like after days of brainstorming: 'ahaa, thaaaat's why they made it this way in Game A'. That is always so much fun

My activity for the last 2 months was quite low. A lot of stuff going on on main job, but also... I was working hard on some new stuff for the game. Hopefully I'll be able to show everything in a while, when it will be polished enough
