I think people are seeing the proof of work.
They can go to the other ecosystems we’ve created and see how we designed them. They are seeing our reputation, our involvement in the community, and our ability to make things happen.
We have taken a very different approach than I normally see in “regenerative” or conventional ag. We aren’t afraid to tear up a property because we do it in a way that it comes back even better. We decided to put a lot of money into excavation equipment which is not something usually seen in regen circles and we have to do a lot of outside work to support owning that equipment. We are on year three of growth on this front and this is the first year we have a possibility of turning a profit.
We took a big educated gamble two years ago that things were going to line up to get cattle prices to where they are today, and if they hadn’t, it would have been bad. There’s a lot more reasons, but I think that’s the main ones. Self promotion, marketing, and reputation is under appreciated in ag.
