😳 Ray Adler oversees Hamilton Co elections but seems to devalue voters. He believes that voters who aren't "informed enough" are undesirable. And people who don't vote are just happily satisfied with status quo. Adler was the one who decided that HamCo will not offer open-to-all voting centers. Link ⬇️

Hundreds of Hamilton County voters were turned away on Election Day because they went to the wrong polling location. 72 of Indiana’s 92 counties offer open-to-all Voting Centers. But HamCo doesn’t. Why? ⬇️

Is this still Democracy, really? Elections bought with Big Outside $, districts re-gerrymandered anytime, candidates blatantly lie to win, voters are manipulated.

Fishers and Lawrence deserve the truth about ICE. Messages from Sheriff Forestal Senate District 31 campaign are misleading. ICE was welcomed with a time limit, not kicked out. Important distinction.

Is Micah Beckwith subjecting student percussionists -AND ALL OF US- to Spiritual Abuse? Yes, says psychoanalyst Dr Matthias Beier, who participated in a IndyStar religious debate with the Lt Gov last year. ⬇️ open.substack.com/pub/matthi…

An important reminder that not long ago, Indiana's Lieutenant Governor was our state's ambassador and advocate for Hoosier Hospitality. 🥁 ☘️#StandingRockStrong

BREAKING: Indiana students were told last week they could use qualifying university IDs to vote again. Now, an appeals court has put the ban back in effect, and between 40,000 and 90,000 student voters statewide could be affected. This move directly disenfranchises young voters.

If you've been a registered business with Indiana Secretary of State, looks like you receive election spam from Diego Morales as INBiz communication.

Exactly, @JamesEBriggs. And here's my local take: The @FishersIN gimmick to champion homeowners and stick it to institutional investors was just an icky attempt to keep renters out.
My core belief: "Anyone taking sides in a housing conflict should ask a question: Who is working to bring more people into a neighborhood and who is working to keep people out? If your housing preferences would prevent some people from moving in, you’re likely on the wrong side."

A first in the US, City of Fishers limited rental opportunities for ALL local property owners in ALL neighborhoods, even condos. Some residents asked “Can the city do that?” Statehouse said Nope. indystar.com/story/news/loca…

Great example of the anti-public-ed misinfo that gets put out either out of ignorance or intentionally. IPS is now giving ~1/3 of its budget to charters. Add in the enrollment from those schools and the totals go from 28,767 in 2017 to 30,567 today.
ok. This is crazy and @IPSSchools REALLY needs to be investigated. Total Enrollment 2017-29,183 students 2026-19774 students This is where it gets REAL interesting and you can see the deportations are having a real time effect. 2024-6,461 ELL students 2025-6,546 ELL students 2026-6,198 ELL students Bottom line: Enrollment has been declining but the school budget has been going up. Where was the money going?

This take was written from a City of Fishers press release, not reality. Truth is, Wall St investors haven’t gobbled up for years and rentals are good option for young families today.
Opinion: Carmel and Fishers capped rentals to protect homeownership. Indiana banned those caps, letting investors gobble up local housing. indystar.com/story/opinion/c…

City of Fishers celebrates being named a Friendly Place To Live - at same time, residents are discussing why a Fishers City Councilor's pattern of verbal attacks are allowed to continue. ☹️facebook.com/FullhartforHSE/…
@Nextdoor just ranked Fishers as the 20th friendliest place to live in Indiana, and we’re proud to be the only Hamilton County city to make the list. From helpful neighbors to strong community spirit, it’s the people here who make Fishers such a welcoming place to call home. 🏠 nextdoor.com/rankings/friend…

When leaders in Fishers try to silence & stonewall their colleagues on the dias, they disrespect the entire community. Transparency and open dialogue are not optional. That’s the job of an elected community leader.
I appreciate Latrica Schooley’s attempt to address this issue. Pascoe’s behavior as Prez shutting her down, was worrisome. At a time of deficit spending for our district, Pascoe & friends are protecting the Supt who seems to love spending on anything but teacher salaries.

For the life of me, I don’t see how Mayor Fadness’ depiction of Fishers here could be reality. You see, local folks own twice as many Fishers rental properties as the out-of-state investors. And if city ordinance enforcement is problem, well that’s the responsibility of Mayor.
A nearly 700-page bill, that impacts data centers and preempts local rental caps, was advanced by Indiana lawmakers on Feb. 24. indystar.com/story/news/loca…
