A lot of CS2 players either overthink their warmup or skip it entirely. Both lead to shaky, inconsistent day-to-day in-game performance.
A s1mple, repeatable routine will always beat “whatever I feel like doing today.”
Here’s a really s1mple warmup that works for almost anyone:
1) Launch any workshop warmup map with bots and kill 150-300. Prioritize first-bullet accuracy over speed. Once you’re consistently precise, start ramping up speed. This is mainly to wake up your hands and eyes for what’s next.
2) Rest 5 minutes
3) FFA Pistol DM: 50 kills
4) FFA HS DM (Deagle): 25-50 kills
5) FFA Rifle DM: 50-100 kills
6) Optional: AWP: 25-50 kills
One big mistake I see people make is ignoring pistol and Deagle practice. In my opinion, it’s some of the most valuable work you can do. Pistol and force rounds decide games and if your first-bullet accuracy, patience, and angle holding are locked in, you’ll win way more of those rounds. You don’t really build that skill by sprinting around with a rifle, spraying and bursting.
And one more thing, when playing DM, don't just run around brainlessly with loud music on. Try to stay locked in and try to mimic the way you'd actually take those fights in real matches.
Lmk if this helped or if you’d change anything in the routine. 🫡
