New cartridge day! First time aligning a cartridge with a protractor, looks odd not square on the headshell. Wow, what a difference in sound from an elliptical stylus to this Shibata stylus. Detail and attack- more separation.
The cartridge mounted on my turntable has been there since 1982. Yes, it’s had many styli through the decades. Today, I did the unthinkable: I bought a new cartridge. The new one arrives Saturday. I’ll let you know !
Morning & afternoon commutes across the Long Island Sound. Tomorrow, VT for a few days, then!, my wondering feet turn to home for hopefully a nice long stretch.
