Do you know the signs?
🚨Flag 1: Scary language!
Scammers frequently use urgent language, scare tactics, and legal threats to panic you into acting quickly. Remember: Real banks and reputable organizations won't try and scare you or demand immediate action.
🚨 Flag 2: The malicious link trick
A major warning sign is being prompted to click a link in an unexpected email or text. Scammers use phishing links with deceptive web addresses to send you to dangerous, sketchy sites. Don’t click any link you weren’t expecting.
🚨Red Flag 3: The Request for Sensitive Data
No secure company will ever call, text, or email you unsolicited to ask for sensitive details like your passwords, PINs, or one-time verification codes. If they ask, it's a scam.
🚨 Red Flag 4: They Pressure You to Send Money
A real bank like Varo will never request you to send money or make payments to another person to "fix" an account issue.
If anyone asks for this it’s a scam!
