Not only is NYPD's parking behavior amazing ---- NYPD seem to be exempt from any no-idling regulation. At least that is what they claim.

Frightening that this map is shared by thousands of LTN advocates as 'evidence' of a reduction to #airpollution due to a LTN.
Even @willnorman shared it earlier this week.
We must not mislead the public about the air they breathe. LTNs INCREASE traffic pollution on main roads.

The majority of drivers are shocked to learn that diesel engine exhaust is carcinogenic group1 like tobacco smoke and that #airpollution can be higher when trapped inside the vehicle. Most switch off their engine but we need new idling law to tackle repeat offenders. #NO2idling

As the mom of a child killed by a careless driver, who daily walks & bikes with my living children in front of trucks whose hoods are taller than their 2nd grader heads, I just want to say these machines are an absolute menace and the companies who make them are evil.
