A Best Actress contender I feel I might be overlooking is Angelina Jolie for COUTURE. While the movie didn't get as much acclaim as it needed in order to qualify her as a buzzy contender, the fact is her work has received plenty of praise with some critics calling her work her most complex and personal performance. I can see a scenario where she gets a Golden Globe SAG nom combo and ultimately lands the Oscar nomination the Academy denied her for MARIA. Plus, she would be bringing something big to a race that seems to be lacking star quality.
