Hi @thameswater, pretty sure this letter is a scam as I don't have a water meter! QR code and phone number also look dodgy. Could you confirm so I can warn my constituents? Thanks.

Just to update, I have been in touch with @thameswater and they have confirmed it wasn’t a scam. I’ve fed back that communications should look less like scams and they have said they will look into this! We’re also due to meet in the future.

I recently met with a constituent to discuss furniture fire safety. Might sound a bit niche but it affects us all & new research has found over 1/4 of firefighters who were at the Grenfell fire are suffering long-term health disorders due to toxicities in the furniture. (1/2)

Thank you @LondonFire - I am relieved to hear that no one was harmed and the fire is out. If there is anything I can do to support anyone affected, get in touch on vicky.foxcroft.mp@parliament.uk
Firefighters worked hard overnight and have now fully extinguished this fire in #Bermondsey. At its height, the fire involved a large amount of refuse and the roof of a warehouse. A van and a car were destroyed by the fire. One man was treated on scene. Photo from 2300.

Local residents should continue to keep windows and doors closed. Loose embers have also been reported, which is normal during large fires. Residents can pour water onto them if they are concerned and if they do catch something alight, don't hesitate to call 999.
Firefighters are working hard to tackle this fire at a recycling centre in #Bermondsey. Two of the Brigade's 32-metre turntable ladders are being used as water towers to help extinguish the fire from above. More information - london-fire.gov.uk/incidents…

3.5 million unmarried couples living together in the UK stand to gain stronger protections under Labour. Too many couples have limited rights if their relationship ends or their partner dies - even after years together or raising children. Labour is consulting on reforms to improve financial security, strengthen protections for survivors of domestic abuse and create a fairer system that reflects modern relationships.

A pleasure to meet with Nina from UK Feminista today. The organisation tackles sex inequality and violence against women and girls. We discussed the Gov's VAWG strategy and how I can support schools locally fight growing misogyny online and its influence in the classroom.

🚍484 bus route update: today @elliereeves and I met with @TfL to discuss our concerns about changes to the service. They said the reduction in frequency should make the service more reliable, but that they will keep it under review and welcome feedback from users. (1/2)
I am deeply concerned about the changes to the frequency of the 484 bus. I know what a vital route it is for local people and that's why @vickyfoxcroft and I have written to @TfL requesting a meeting to discuss the impacts of these changes and for them to be reversed.
