Just wow šŸ˜ #NTE #NevernesstoEverness This is absolutely stunning. Easily my favourite find so far. The art direction, the water, the lighting, the music, the whole feel of this place is just so dreamy and cosy. One of those spots where I had to stop for a bit and just take it all in.

I’d honestly argue that Horizon Forbidden West has one of the best open worlds of this generation. Right now I’m just looking at the water, and it’s absolutely stunning. The waves, reflections, movement, and overall graphics are some of the best I’ve seen in any game. It’s such an underrated game too. It got completely overshadowed by Elden Ring at the time, which is a shame, because visually and technically, especially when it comes to world design and environmental detail, it deserves way more credit. #HorizonForbiddenWest

Ryse: Son of Rome still holds up ridiculously well today. This was an Xbox One launch title back in 2013, and even then it looked like a proper next-gen showcase. The character detail, animations, lighting, facial work, and brutal combat presentation were seriously impressive for the time. Now I’m showcasing the PC version, and with higher resolution, max settings, and cleaner image quality, it still looks stunning today. I would’ve loved to see a sequel. The foundation was there: Roman warfare, cinematic combat, massive battles, brutal executions, and a world that could have been expanded massively. Crytek developed Ryse, Microsoft published it as an Xbox exclusive launch title, but Crytek kept ownership of the IP. A sequel was reportedly discussed, but it never happened, partly because of disagreements around funding and IP ownership. Such a shame, because Ryse 2 with modern tech could look insane. This game deserved another chance. #RyseSonofRome #Xbox #Gamepass #XboxGameShowcase

Looking forward to the #XboxGamesShowcase tonight! I’m really hoping we see Fable. A Fallout 3 remaster or even a tease for New Vegas 2 would be unreal. A proper little peek at The Elder Scrolls VI would be the perfect way to end the showcase. My absolute dream though? Project Gotham Racing making a comeback haha. Or at the very least, give Forza Horizon 6 proper VR support, like they did with Microsoft Flight Simulator. Imagine blasting around Horizon in VR with that level of immersion. That would be unreal. I wouldn’t mind a new Ryse game either. A proper next-gen Ryse: Son of Rome sequel with brutal combat & insane visuals! Anyway, let’s see what Xbox has cooking!

Ohh, I’ve just realised I left the ending of the video randomly blank. I apologise for that šŸ˜‚

God damn, this is beautiful. #Fatekeeper Look at that view. This is Unreal Engine used right. None of that weird grainy lighting, none of that poor optimisation. It feels clean, looks crisp, and plays well. And the craziest part? A team of 13 people made this and gave it to us for Ā£6.79. Yes, I’ll keep repeating the price, because for an Early Access build, that feels like a proper ā€œwelcome to our gameā€ price.

My main problem with #Fatekeeper is the complete lack of controller support. I understand it’s in Early Access, and I know things will be worked on, improved, and added over time. But launching with zero controller support still feels like a big mistake to me. The game is stunning, and I bought it because I wanted to support it, but this feels like a lack of experience or a lack of understanding of how many PC players actually prefer controller. I get that the PC master race crowd loves mouse and keyboard and swears it’s superior, and that’s fine. But for me, it just isn’t. I don’t enjoy it. Some of us want to sit back, controller in hand, feet up, and enjoy the game on a big display. We want comfort, feedback, and controls that feel natural. Mouse and keyboard gives me none of that. It feels awkward, empty, and uncomfortable. And when you’ve got controls like Left Alt to dodge, Q for spells, X to change spells, and R to block all while moving, it just pulls me out of the experience completely. The world, visuals, atmosphere, and potential are all there. But no controller support is seriously hurting the experience for me, and I think the devs need to understand that this will put a lot of players off. And yes, the gameplay side is partly a skill issue. I’m playing badly, I’m dying, and I’ll own that. But a big reason for that is because I just do not enjoy mouse and keyboard. šŸ˜… @THQNordic

Absolutely love #ForzaHorizon6, but honestly, progression should start with a car like this. #FH6 Something simple, something you build up slowly, part by part, upgrade by upgrade, until it actually feels like your baby. Something you bond with. But that’s just me, I’m a car guy. I’m 3 hours in with 500k credits and 30 cars already… fun game, but I wish the progression had more of that earned feeling. This has always been my main criticism of Forza Horizon..

One thing #CrimsonDesert mastered, and I think gives it that wow feeling, is the sense of scale they achieved with everything. Standing on this tower, one of many, really shows it. The height, the world around it, and zooming out fast makes the scale hit even harder. Never mind the abyss above that dwarfs these! They’ve done magic with the optimisation.

One thing I’m surprised doesn’t get praised more in #CrimsonDesert is that you can walk into basically every building. Houses, castles, churches, random places in towns, if you have the key, you can go inside. And it’s not just empty space either. You can interact with a lot of what’s inside, steal items, search around, and sometimes stumble across something hidden or unexpected. What makes it even better is how the buildings reflect the people living there. Some feel lower-class, some middle-class, some richer, and the detail inside matches that. The furniture, clutter, layout, and items all help sell the world. That alone does so much for immersion. The world doesn’t feel like a painted backdrop, it feels like an actual place you can properly explore. Everyone was hyped about the idea of GTA 6 possibly letting us enter loads of buildings, and yeah, completely different game and different density, but Crimson Desert has already done something seriously impressive here. And barely anyone seems to be talking about it.

We first found out about #DokeV back in 2019, and now it’s been almost 7 years. After seeing what Pearl Abyss has pulled off with #CrimsonDesert, it’s clear they’re coming in strong for the mainstream market. I honestly believe DokeV has massive potential to blow up. It looks like it could deliver the kind of creature-collecting adventure many of us have wanted from Nintendo and PokĆ©mon for years, but on a proper next-gen scale. If Pearl Abyss nails the world, gameplay, and sense of discovery like in CD, DokeV could be something seriously special.

This week marks the 10th anniversary of #Uncharted4 Time goes so fast! 🤯😢 I absolutely loved this part, getting to play a bit of Crash Bandicoot and hearing the PlayStation 1 startup sound was pure gold. This game still looks amazing. I’d snap up another Uncharted instantly. One thing #PlayStation has always had is a great eye for talented studios.
