You didn’t see pictures like this come out of Iraq or Afghanistan. What’s happening in Gaza is not a normal war. Hamas hasn’t fired rockets in months, and can hardly field a fire team for any given “operation,” but the Israelis are still killing dozens of non-combatants a day.
Your initial instinct on seeing a picture like this was the right one.
