I have seen every QB imaginable linked to the Vikings for next year. One who is never mentioned is JJ McCarthy. Could they really give up on him this quickly on a rookie contract? Don't get me wrong, they guy shows me little.
Do you realize that is both the big mistakes and little mistakes that doom teams? Sure, letting Sam Darnold turned out to be the wrong move, but had we even kept Nick Mullens, we would have had a passing game and probably beat out the Packers for a playoff spot.
The funny part of today is that Viking fans are saying if we had Sam Darnold we'd be in the Super Bowl. C'Mon guys this is the Vikings, we would have found a way to blow it in the first playoff game.
While so many fans are agonizing that Sam Darnold left and is now in the NFC Champ game, I will root for him today to win. He gave this town 14 wins last year and made for a great season. He is not to fault for leaving. Go sSm!
So many people talking about Brian Flores to Vegas or surmising that Baltimore is a spot for him. That may happen, but keep Pittsburgh in the back of your mind as a potential destination if he does leave.
Ben Johnson proving the go for it every time on 4th down deep in your own territory isn't as smart as you thought it was. So risky - it isn't Madden football! Sometimes you punt!
Al Michaels proving tonight what JB (James Brown) has for years - apparently, the human male's hair grows jet black as they reach 60 and 70 years of age. Just darken it boys, don't wash your hair with burnt motor oil!

My namesake, former Colts OC Tom Moore perfectly describes how this year felt for MIN to me at QB. Jon Gruden asked him why backup QBs did not get reps in practice during the Peyton Manning years. Moore replied "If 18 goes down, we are f*cked". We don't practice f*cked"
The NFL Portal is now open - Name your player on the current Viking squad that you want gone. Name the player that you think needs a bigger role. A smaller role? Then, name the acquisition (FA or draft) you think makes the biggest positive impact for the Vikings.
Stunning how many on social media are calling for Harrison Smith to replace Brian Flores. Smith is quiet, introverted & has no coaching experience. Name any former player who retired & immediately for a coord position? Dan Campbell was an intern in 2010, TE coach in 2016.
Stating on QB rating, Max Brosmer was 7 of 8 for 91 yards and a 96 QB rating today. The numbers are deceiving to me, as that is almost starter-level stats.
Observation #25 & Final Thought on MIN win vs GB – Your Vikings finished with a winning record w/ all the obstacles, injuries & QB issues. That's just a 1/2 game from a playoff team. Winning in 2026 won’t be easy, but a core is there to be better. We are undefeated for '26!
Observation #24 in MIN win vs GB–Developing a QB is hard, & harder when they are 22 with injury problems. JJ improved, but he can't be the assumed starter (reminds me of Rich Gannon loads of talent, but inexperienced–Rich sat for 3 yrs) & MIN needs a true veteran starter next yr.
Observation #23 in MIN win vs GB – $30M over the cap going into the offseason, with an unclear QB future, a DC about to leave and holes in the secondary, DT, the Oline and RB. It will take a miracle to fill the holes, even harder with our GM’s track record.
