The grade 5 class listens every week to the announcements to hear the Phonics Fact. They challenge themselves to find as many words as they can that follow that rule. GREAT WORK grade 5's.

🎶 Musical Sentences 🎶 Wrote the sentences from our @IMSEOG decodable story onto sentence strips as a pre-reading activity. Each time the music stops, students practice reading a new sentence. I couldn’t believe the progress in just a few rounds! @DonnakaSpencer @BCSDKidder

FDK 7 has been having fun playing our new favourite literacy game by adding letter wands to a game of musical books! Students move around the carpet to music & sit in front of a book when it stops. As they read they look for words that contain their letter. @HWDSB @ViolaD_HWDSB
