The 2026 cruise season has officially begun at the Port of Cork, marked today by the maiden call of AIDAluna. 🚢 With 93 vessels and more than 175,000 passengers scheduled to arrive between April and November, Cork continues to strengthen its position as Ireland’s busiest cruise port and a key contributor to regional tourism. Cruise tourism now generates an estimated €17 million annually for the local economy, supporting cafés, shops, cultural attractions and transport providers across Cobh, Cork City and the wider region. A strong start to what promises to be a vibrant season for communities and businesses throughout the harbour. 📸Tadhg O'Keeffe @rtenews @ExaminerPhotos @irishexaminer @RedFMNews @corkbeo @corkindo @CorkIndie @yaycork @Independent_ie @cruisetradenews @VirginMediaNews
