A very sad day for UK arts today as our wonderful friends and colleagues at @E_N_O give their final performance before company-wide redundancies take effect tomorrow and cuts to @WelshNatOpera announced too. @ace_national and those responsible should be ashamed of themselves. 1/2

The Princess of Asturias Foundation will make 1000 seats available for the final rehearsal of the 31st #PrincessofAsturiasAwards Concert. The concert will be held, starting at 8:30pm, on Wednesday 18th October at the Prince Felipe Auditorium in Oviedo. Tickets can be collected from the Prince Felipe Auditorium box office on Saturday 14th October, from 10:00am to 2:00pm and from 4:00pm to 7:00, until there are no tickets left, with a maximum of two tickets being made available per person.
Under the title “With a Certain Taste of Peace”, the Princess of Asturias Foundation Choir is to perform alongside the Principality of Asturias Symphony Orchestra (OSPA) under the baton of Martyn Brabbins in a programme comprising Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis and Dona nobis pacem, both by Ralph Vaughan Williams. The concert will also count on the participation of soloists Verity Wingate (soprano) and Paul Grant (baritone).
