Vanderbilt guard Tyler Tanner reveals that he was never transferring to Tennessee, in an interview with @Gentry_Estes 🍊
"People even after the portal had closed were like, 'Nah, he's coming to Tennessee,’” Tanner told Estes. “I'm like, 'I'm not coming to Tennessee.' It was wild.”
The Tennessee native was linked to the #Vols during the transfer portal window in April, but never entered the portal.
The six-foot, 173-pound guard tested the NBA waters, but announced in late May his intentions to return to college.
Tanner averaged 19.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 5.1 asssits on 48.5% shooting last season.
