On April 1st, I hit my 1-year "Framerversary" as a full-time employee at
@framer. I don't slow down often, but today I'm taking a minute to reflect; because the way I got here was anything but typical.
I first got noticed through freelancing. Migrating dozens of sites to Framer and sharing what I learned publicly throughout my journey. That work opened the door to join Framer as a contractor on the Product Specialist team.
Over the next 6 months, I opened up more personally and started sharing more of my technical side; quickly becoming a go-to person for deeper technical Customer Success topics. Everything from integrations/architecture, debugging, and even code.
There were not many companies I would've walked away from my successful freelance business for, but Framer was at the top of that list for a few reasons:
The environment is always changing (I get bored doing the same thing every day), and nobody expects you to know everything. It's never "you're stupid for not knowing this", but instead "This is how it works. Any questions?".
And today, being able to be both customer-facing and deeply technical without having to pick a lane is basically my ideal job. That's a huge bonus.
So when the full-time offer came in, I was all in (after some negotiations, of course).
This past year as a full-time employee has taken me into all sorts of areas across Framer, and I truly wouldn't have it any other way. Balancing cross-team work, learning nonstop, and having the most genuine conversations with people across the org.
It's been a surreal experience, and I'm grateful. Here's to more years of building.
