For my parents and so many others in our district, the right to vote was not a given. It was a dream that took years of sacrifice and a long naturalization process to achieve. Standing with them at the polls, I was reminded that our democracy was built by those who refused to be left out. From the courageous fight for women’s suffrage to the leaders of the Civil Rights movement, we stand on the shoulders of those who demanded a seat at the table. We honor that history by showing up. In our community, mixed-status families are a reality for neighbors of all backgrounds, not just Latinos. If you are a citizen, you hold a unique power. You are the voice for the neighbors, friends, and family members who cannot yet vote themselves. Do not sit this or any election out. Your ballot is their future too. Honored to receive the Climate Cabinet endorsement. This recognition reflects my ongoing commitment to a cleaner, more equitable Illinois and protecting our natural resources. As the son of immigrants, I know that climate change is a social issue that disproportionately affects marginalized communities. In 2025, I had a 100% Environmental Scorecard Rating and am proud to be one of the initial sponsors of legislation to regulate data center water and electricity usage. #ClimateCabinet #ILPolitics #CleanWater #ProvenProgressive #ClimateChampion

Rep. @VoteJAndrade turned words to actions by introducing and passing a bill to condemn the immoral, illegal, and un-American actions of ICE and call for the immediate resignation or Congressional impeachment of DHS Secretary Noem.
