Coarse fishing close season begins today, meaning you cannot fish for coarse species in rivers, streams, and some stillwaters and canals.
Check regional byelaws to find out which stillwaters and canals are closed. You may fish in those that remain open.

We removed tree branches that were interfering with the rain gauge at RAF Wickenby, Lincolnshire.
The rain gauge is key for us issuing flood warnings accurately.
The big branches were repurposed to create a habitat for wildlife on site.
