Last week, I visited #Somalia and was encouraged by the strong commitment of government leaders, partners and frontline health workers to reach every child with life-saving vaccines and to accelerate efforts to #EndPolio.
I was honoured to meet H.E. @DrAliHajiadam Minister of Health of Somalia, @sandralattouf of @unicefsomalia, colleagues from @WHOSom, our partners, and the extraordinary health workers serving communities across the country.
The challenges are significant, but so is the determination to overcome them. Together, we can reach every child with the vaccines they need.

In Somalia, health teams stopped leading with the vaccine and began to lead by listening with social mobilizers who built trust. Then, the vaccination followed. Trust, it turned out, was the hardest and most important thing to deliver. #EndPolio
