Three months ago, on 2 March 2026, Yanar Mohammed was assassinated in Baghdad.
Today, we remember her once again and renew our call for justice, accountability, and protection for all women human rights defenders.
We will not forget.

In 2021, Sally was imprisoned. She was tried for trumped up charges of rebellion, falsely accused of being a member of a group involved in a series of ambushes against government troops.
