Team Grind and Team Final clashed in my first 15U matchup of Day 2 at the Pitt Jamfest by
@TheHoopGroup, and it turned into a fierce, back-and-forth battle from the start.
Both teams came out searching for rhythm, trading stops and buckets early while feeling each other out. Team Final struck first, finding their groove and building a 10-point lead behind confident shot-making and strong execution.
Team Grind answered by turning up the defense and creating chaos. They forced turnovers, sped up the game, and flipped the momentum heading into halftime, closing the gap to 36-34 and taking control of the energy.
The second half turned into a straight battle of wills. Every possession mattered, every stop was earned, and neither team gave an inch. With 30 seconds left, Team Grind held a razor-thin 66-65 lead.
#10
@McCabe_C2029 stepped to the line and calmly made 2 free throws to push it to 68-65 with 25 seconds remaining. Team Final responded quickly with a layup from #23
@AdamQawasmy to cut it to 68-67, setting up one final possession with the game on the line.
Team Final had a chance to win it in the closing seconds, but a turnover sealed the game, and Team Grind walked away with a hard-fought victory.
Team Grind was led by #0 Javion King with 24 points, setting the tone offensively. #1
