Today is a great day for local journalism. Under a historic agreement designed to ensure local journalism continues to thrive in Lancaster, Pennon, our parent company and current owner of LNP | LancasterOnline, will gift the news organization’s assets to a newly formed nonprofit.

For the first time in 231 years, @LancasterOnline, the paper I grew up reading, will become a nonprofit newspaper. This is huge news.
We are going to innovate, rebuild trust in the media & create a model to support local journalism. Thank you, @WITF Pennon, for your partnership.
