At Wahner Heide Protected Area near Bonn, a guided #WorldMigratoryBirdDay morning bird walk brought together 11 participants.
Led by Mr Sergey Dereliev, Acting Executive Secretary of AEWA, 26 bird species were recorded, highlighting the site's rich biodiversity.

Today is World Migratory Bird Day, and we’re here for it! 🐦
Since 1987, Kennedy teams have tracked varieties of birds like roseate spoonbills, wood storks, herons, egrets, and more to monitor habitat use, nesting trends, and wetland health. We continue aerial and ground surveys and spring colony checks to help protect these birds across the spaceport’s coastal ecosystem.
