Welcome to WOPA (Wimbledon Old Players Association). Here to remember and celebrate the contributions of former Wimbledon FC (to 28/05/02) and all AFC Wimbledon former players and staff. A resource to invite and reunite them at Plough Lane - the home of the Dons 🔵🟡
Goalkeeper Gary Cook was Dickie Guy’s understudy during the 1975/76 season playing mostly Suburban League (and a London Intermediate Cup Final) under Alan Smith until moving on to Malden Vale, Epsom & Ewell and Molesey. Welcome to WOPA Gary 🔵🟡🤝 #603
Striker Geena Gordon spent the 2003/04 season with AFC Wimbledon Women playing in both the reserves and first team. Clearly she’s passed on some football genes as her son Zhaviah Campbell has recently been called up to the Jamaica U20 squad! Welcome to WOPA Geena 🔵🟡🤝 #602

👀 We’ve benefitted greatly from this over the past couple of seasons (Romaine Sawyers, Marcus Browne, Patrick Bauer) and a great initiative for players released too. #AFCW ✍🏼
Currently in charge of Lions Gibraltar, wishing a very Happy 65th Birthday to former Crazy Gang instigator, Wimbledon player and AFC Wimbledon manager Wally Downes! 🔵🟡🤝
Sad to hear that Richard Teale has passed away aged 74. A former Walton & Hersham and QPR goalkeeper who briefly displaced Dickie Guy at Wimbledon in 1977, making 15 Dons appearances before going on to play 120 games for Slough Town. Condolences to his family and friends. 🔵🟡🙏
Dave Reddington spent most of his career coaching, working his way through various Crystal Palace youth sides, plus a spell with Watford, before an assistant manager spell at Aarhus GF in Denmark. Joined the Dons coaching staff in 2024. Welcome to WOPA @davidReddingto1 🔵🟡 #601.
One of the most skilful ever players to pull on a Wimbledon shirt, Northern Ireland international winger Michael Hughes lit up many an afternoon at Selhurst Park during his 115 Dons appearances between 1997-2002 and we are delighted ‘Hughesy’ has become our 600th WOPA member 🔵🟡
Defender Sam Hutchinson made 23 appearances, scoring once (a vital playoff semi final strike where his evening ended in hospital after a suffering a heart attack). Happily fit enough to play on, the former Chelsea and Sheffield Wednesday man, becomes WOPA member #599. Welcome Sam

Already a proven goalscorer at Chelsea and Crystal Palace, Ashlee Hincks tore up the Dons record books in her five seasons with AFC Wimbledon Women, amassing 145 goals (and 65 assists) in just 135 games. So we are delighted to welcome @ashlee_hincks8 onboard at WOPA 🔵🟡🤝 #598
Striker Josh Kelly joined AFC Wimbledon in 2023, going on to make 70 first team appearances, scoring 5 goals. Unlucky with injuries both with the Dons and on a loan spell with Woking last season, we wish him every future success and welcome to WOPA @josh_kelly19 🔵🟡🤝 #597
Joining AFC Wimbledon at the age of 7, defender Leo Young spent 13 years with the Dons moving through the academy and into the first team with a EFL Trophy appearance and several non-league loan spells. Wishing you every future success and welcome to WOPA @leoyoung_05 🔵🟡🤝 #596
Thank you to our final WOPA special guest of the season @AdeAzeez94 and to all former players who have visited Plough Lane in 2025/26. Thanks also to club staff in the ticketing, media and commercial departments who help look after them. It’s appreciated 🤝
