On behalf of the Windsor Police Services Board, we are pleased to announce that Karel DeGraaf has been appointed permanent Deputy Chief of Operational Support. Deputy Chief DeGraaf has been a member of the Windsor Police Service for over 28 years. Throughout his career, he has served our community in a variety of areas, including investigations, investigative support, property crimes, Emergency Services Unit, and the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement squad (ROPE). Since being named Acting Deputy Chief of Operational Support in October 2023, he has overseen a number of critical operations and projects within our Service. His appointment took effect March 22, 2024. Please join us in congratulating Deputy Chief DeGraaf on this well-deserved promotion, and wishing him continued success in this role.
