Welwitchia University Group has appointed Edward Kafita as Group Chief Executive Officer-designate, effective 1 April 2026, as part of a structured succession plan aimed at ensuring leadership continuity. The group said Kafita will work closely with the current Chief Executive Officer during the transition period, contributing to key strategic and operational priorities. Kafita currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Welwitchia Integrated Services, the commercial arm of the group, where he has been involved in driving organisational growth, innovation and strategic alignment. .@WUNamibia affirms its support for the MEIYSAC subsidised tertiary funding model. The subsidised pre-determined rate for Welwitchia University as a private institution is N$24,300 across all programmes. Where tuition exceeds this amount, students/guardians are required to pay the difference (shortfalls may be paid in 10 monthly instalments). NSFAF-eligible students are exempt from tuition deposits and registration fees and may sit for exams and access results per the Ministry’s directive.
