Over the last 24 hours I’ve seen two social media posts from high school athletes in Alabama announcing their transfers to new schools. Is this the start of the high school transfer portal? Is high school NIL next? Are we now entering a “win at all cost” phase?
The 3.96 inches of rain over the last 24-hour period is a new record for Scottsboro for June 8th. The old record precip was 3.15 inches on 6/8/1965. @NWSHuntsville@spann@JacksonCoAL_EMA

I was made aware a short while ago that former Scottsboro head football coach Buddy Moore passed away this morning. He was 93. Moore led the 1969 Wildcats to a 7-2 record with wins over Austin, Hixon TN, Bradshaw, Albertville, Arab, Guntersville and Fort Payne.
After crowning 19 @acccathletics Champions, and @NACCsoftball claiming the last national championship, that concludes our 2025-26 athletic year. And what a year it was. Three team national championships with one individual national championship and two national runner-ups. Great regular and postseason highlights, individual and team performances, and just plain fun.
We sincerely thank our administrators and coaches for their hard work and dedication to their respective schools and to the @acccathletics. Most of all, thank you, STUDENT-athletes, for a phenomenal season! You are the reason we do what we do.
Now, rest up as the 2026-27 athletic year starts in 61 days. And it promises to be the best one yet. #MadeToMove
