Last night, @WacoTXFire Technical Rescue Team members, @txtf1, @TexasGameWarden personnel, and members of many other agencies helped rescue dozens of people from trapped vehicles after heavy rains over a short period, causing extensive flash flooding. Turn Around Don't Drown!
Heavy rain is falling in the Waco area with some areas showing upwards of 4” per hour. Flooding is possible through Monday evening. @WacoTXFire reminds you to “turn around, don’t drown.” Just 6” of moving water can sweep a car off the roadway.
