A tranquil walk, a chilled setting, and great company. What more do you need. The group walked Freshfields to Ainsdale & stopped off for some lunch along the way. Four years ago, while on a walk, i had an idea that it would be good to try & get other men out talking to each other & the benefits it would bring both mentally & physically, the next day I went to see @timotierney in @TheFlorrie & asked if he’d help me & @WalkFlorrie was born. Id like thank everyone who helped start the group, so far we have lads getting help thru counselling, lads into employment, have helped lads become better in themselves & more importantly we have started men talking about problems. Also one of our biggest accomplishment that we pride ourselves on is the different backgrounds & age groups we’ve managed to bring together. We’ve also we’ve been fortunate enough to have had our message spread by @LFC @Everton & @NIVEAMENUKalso with continued support of @TheAnfieldWrap & @TheRedmenTV to different satellite groups around the world If anybody feels they have nobody to turn to, well you do. Over the last 4 years @WalkFlorrie has grown into a respected grassroots project focused on improving mental health, reducing isolation, and strengthening community ties through walking, conversation, and positive activity. On 10th July we leave for a unique community journey from Dingle in Liverpool to Dingle in County Kerry, creating links between both communities while also honouring friendship, heritage and wellbeing #NeverAlone ❤️💙

We are delighted to share that local authors Danny & Yvonne have written a wonderful book celebrating one of Liverpool’s most iconic symbols – the Liver Bird. After discovering and documenting over 300 Liver Birds hidden in plain sight across our city, they have brought their findings together in a fascinating book that showcases Liverpool’s rich history, architecture and character. Even better, Danny & Yvonne have generously pledged to donate £5 from every £12.99 book sold directly to The Florrie, helping us continue our work supporting the local community. It’s a fantastic way to learn more about our amazing city while also supporting a community hub that means so much to so many people. A huge thank you to Danny & Yvonne for thinking of @TheFlorrie Your kindness and generosity are greatly appreciated. If you love Liverpool, its history, and uncovering hidden gems, this book is well worth adding to your collection.

What a day with @WalkFlorrie If ever I needed cheering up, the lads certainly didn’t let me down. My son James, would’ve been 16 today, forever think about him & what could’ve been. The friendship and support reminded me once again that nobody has to carry their burdens alone. Some days you lead the walk, and some days the walk carries you. Today was one of those days. What a pleasure it was to welcome Arlo to @the_florrie today for his fantastic art exhibition. While many will know him for designing the artwork for albums by his father, Liverpool music legend @michaelheadtreb today’s exhibition also showcased Arlo’s own unique artistic style. His work has a striking, Warhol-esque feel, combining bold imagery, colour, and creativity to produce pieces that are both distinctive and thought-provoking. It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the exhibition and engaging with the artwork throughout the day. A huge thank you to Arlo for sharing his talent with our community, and to everyone who came along to support another great day @TheFlorrie where art, music, and community continue to come together

Today, @WalkFlorrie visited @visitdelamere & it proved to be exactly what one of our lads needed following a recent family loss. Sometimes, no words are needed. Just being surrounded by good people & nature can make all the difference The walk gave us the chance to talk, reflect, share memories, and support one another in a way that only true friendship and community can Days like today remind us why @WalkFlorrie exists. We walk together through the good times and the difficult times, ensuring that nobody has to face life’s challenges alone. Soppy know but true #NeverAlone ❤️💙
