I am sorry your experience with men is so dreadful. In my youth I was drunk a number of times. In my youth I did all sorts of stupid stuff. Never did I assault or impose myself on anybody, especially a woman. Frankly, out of a few hundred fraternity brothers only a few did that.
Every man out there (if they’re being honest) is reading this Graham Platner story and thinking: “gee, what would happen if the biggest newspaper in the country interviewed all of my exes and asked them about our drunken fights?” That’s why this story ultimately won’t land. It won’t end Platner’s campaign

Reasons why leaving NATO would be detrimental to the United States & to the world: • NATO provides the U.S. with access to a massive network of airbases and intelligence assets. Losing this infrastructure would severely limit our ability to project power or respond to global crises, effectively ceding the Eastern Hemisphere. • Allied nations are primary buyers of our $39 trillion deficit, which keeps our interest rates stable. They hold trillions in Treasuries; a withdrawal could lead them to pivot away from the dollar, weakening its status as the global reserve currency and driving up borrowing costs for every American. • Leaving NATO would jeopardize multibillion-dollar defense contracts for U.S. companies & would likely trigger retaliatory trade barriers against American goods, hitting our manufacturing and tech sectors directly. • If the U.S. steps back, Russia & China will immediately fill the vacuum across Europe & Africa. This isolation would leave the U.S. alone to face growing hostile blocs. • The only time Article 5 was ever triggered was to support the U.S. after 9/11. Abandoning our allies now would signal that American commitments are worthless, destroying our leverage in every future trade or security negotiation. • Without the American nuclear umbrella, many European nations would feel forced to develop their own nuclear arsenals for survival. A world with several newly armed nuclear states would be far more volatile & impossible to manage. NATO is the most successful strategic alliance in history, deterring a third world war for 80 years. We are far stronger TOGETHER. For some reason, we have a President right now who seems hellbent on destroying an alliance that should never be in question (and never has been). There are also foreign influence ops at work that unfortunately, a lot of people are falling for. But let’s be crystal freaking clear: NATO’s administrative cost is less than 0.06% of our defense budget. Leaving NATO benefits NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE, other than our adversaries.

Please repost. It’s important MapleMagats realize how beautiful Canada 🇨🇦 really is.
Canads is by Far one of the best country in the world 🇨🇦 🍁 Canada is a top-tier global producer of potash (1st), uranium (2nd), and aluminum (3rd), which are critical for the global energy transition. Canada currently ranks 2nd globally for ease of doing business, making it a top destination for corporate headquarters and investment. Canada remains a global leader in the export of gold, motor vehicle parts, and agricultural products (specifically barley and soybeans). Canada holds 7% of the world's renewable freshwater supply and possesses roughly 20% of the world’s total freshwater when including the Great Lakes.  Canada consistently ranks as having some of the cleanest air quality among G7 nations. Canada ranks 3rd globally in overall reputation and is the #1 most trusted nation for tolerance and inclusivity (Global Soft Power Index 2026). For over two decades, Canada has led the OECD in the percentage of adults (ages 25–64) with post-secondary education. It is ranked 3rd in the world for being politically stable, well-governed, and respecting the rule of law. Top-ranking cities include Ottawa, Victoria, Vancouver, and Halifax, which were noted for their balance of safety, healthcare, and standard of living. Five Canadian cities (Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Ottawa, and Calgary) rank in the Top 100 Best Cities globally to live, visit, and invest in. Canada is the place to be 🇨🇦

I am a little older but I was attracted by the same people as her and am repulsed by the same types she excoriates.
You all can have Tucker, Megyn, Catturd, and the TPUSA types. I was attracted to the right back in high school and college because of these intellectual giants. Sadly, that movement is long gone, replaced by the dumbest populism possible.

Rubio condemned Iran for making decisions on the basis of theology and their view of theology is an apocalyptic one. Meanwhile Hegseth is telling US troops the war with Iran will hasten the return of Jesus Christ. Fucking hypocrites.

A few thoughts: 1) This attack should not have happened without Congressional authorization. This is no mere technicality -- it's the framer's foundational design for how the republic should wage war. 2) Khamenei's death is a great victory, but we've all been on this rollercoaster before. The U.S. and Israelis have taken out lots of leaders and rulers in these long wars. 3) I very very very much want the regime to fall, and I desperately want democracy to take root, but remember, we're ultimately relying in large part on civilian protesters (hopefully with the support of dissenting regime elements) to actually topple the regime. 4) If we rely on protesters (who possess magnificent courage), I'm worried we might see something like what happened to Iraqis who rose up against a defeated Saddam in 1991. It was a bloody massacre. That's a nightmare scenario. 5) Our forces have performed magnificently, and I'm hoping and praying that the Iranian response remains inept and ineffective. But it's dangerous to simply presume that it will. 6) If we take losses (or if we suffer economic disruption) that's when we'll see one of the consequences of failing to go to Congress. We're a divided country. Trump is a mercurial man. 7) Trump's temperament and character are one reason why it's silly to say, "If I'd support this under any other president, I should support this under Trump." He's not like any other president. Bad and dishonest leaders make me less confident in their plans. 8) If, however, the Iranian people can rally, if our attacks can prevent the regime from massacring civilians, then it will be a massive accomplishment and a great day for the U.S., Israel, and the world.

This is spot on. As a nation we have failed to live up to our ideals on many issues. We still have so much to be proud of. I remember the miracle on ice in 1980 and how thrilled I was. I was just as excited yesterday.
As a Democrat, I’ve noticed a lack of Democrats expressing pride in America today. You don’t have to give up your political beliefs to be immensely proud to call America home. Loving your country does not equal supporting the current admin. Don’t let MAGA own patriotism. #USA

For anyone putting loyalty to a person above loyalty to the Constitution, Justice Gorsuch’s remarks should be required reading. His words are a reminder that our highest duty is to the rule of law and the founding principles that define America.
