Exploitation is happening now. Are you reading between the lines? You aren’t to blame but it is ALL of our responsibility to protect our children and young people by asking the difficult questions you can help disrupt exploitation. #CEADay24#helpinghands#warwickshireCE
In October, some of our colleagues are taking part in the Barnardos 350000 steps challenge. Barnardo’s are on a mission to make a difference in the lives of children living in poverty.
Every step we take is a step towards providing essentials to these children.
Suicide is a major challenge, with more than 700 000 deaths each year globally. Each suicide has social and emotional consequences, and deeply affects individuals, their families and communities worldwide.
We urge people to “Start the Conversation”. This helps to raise awareness about the importance of reducing stigma and encouraging open conversations to prevent suicides. 😘#SuicidePrevention
📍 We are here at Rugby college for Welcome Week for the students at the college. 🧑🏫 🏫 come down and say hello and have a chat about all things exploitation … there’s also lots of activities and candy floss 🍬🏀
🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈We had a fantastic day meeting soo many people (and dogs!)at this year’s @WarksPride Warwickshire Pride event. It was such a special day to be a part of. We got visitors to our stall to think about and, if they felt comfortable to, share ‘What pride means to them’.
We asked visitors to decorate a love heart to add to our board and were blown away by such cast and important messages 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ @WarksPride#pride#warwickshirepride
Last year’s Warwickshire Pride was such a success, we cannot wait for this weekend. The festival is a colourful celebration of LGBT life and culture. It also highlights the injustices that LGBT people still face locally and around the world. We’ll be there from 11-6!
We will be at the Pumproom Garden, Leamington Spa THIS Saturday (17th August) to celebrate Warwickshire Pride. We can't wait and hope to see you there 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🪴 @WarksPride
Another example of work that we do with our young people.
Not just educating them on what exploitation is and recognising the signs of it and giving them tools to deal with exploiters but also tools on how to deal with uncomfortable situations !#warwickshirece
Many people-adults-will say that ‘no’ is enough, which it is and should be. But many of our young people don’t have the confidence to say so. Or peer pressure can amount for them until they feel unable to. By setting boundaries with their words, they can develop such skills.
This month we celebrate our colleagues in the social care profession and all those who work in the social care sector; honoring those who dedicate their lives to caring for others.
Not just a day in the calendar but a heartfelt tribute to the efforts of social care workers 👏 ✨
