The World Cup should be: In 1 country With 32 teams And 64 games And each game should have two halves (not four quarters)

It's really very simple, the water break should only be in play above a certain temperature threshold so the fact that it's been applied across the whole competition means we should call it what it is 4 quarters so the yanks can get an extra ad break

You'd assume this is from Prime Time or the Tonight Show. But no, it is during a game between Qatar (yes, I know) and Switzerland.

A spine tingling rendition of Flower of Scotland being belted out by The Tartan Army, before their first World Cup Finals game in 28 years. A moment that many have waited a lifetime for. 🥹🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿❤️

Well maybe If Israel would take a day off from bombing its neighbours, murdering civilians and medical teams, actively committing genocide in Gaza & ethnically cleansing the West Bank they wouldn't need to talk about it as much?
Am in Dublin with my Mum in hospital, she has RTE on all the time.. All I hear is about Israel. I had not realised the level of obsession, radicalising the whole population. Are they being funded by Qatar. It is truly sickening.

The Glen of Aherlow in Inchicore - who sponsor Joseph Anang’s jersey - are firmly behind Ghana for the World Cup. An incredible moment for the League of Ireland with Pico Lopes and Anang off to the tournament. Here’s hoping for some magic moments. 🇬🇭 #BlackStars #Ghana

Also worth stressing that Fifa is going against its own precedent of Indonesia being stripped of the under-20 World Cup in 2023 These issues have NEVER happened at a modern World Cup x.com/MiguelDelaney/status/2…

The visa story is the most telling controversy this World Cup has had Fifa is going against its own rules and precedent Should it even be held in a state that clearly doesn't see it as a World Cup What was the point of Infantino's cravenness to Trump? independent.co.uk/sport/foot…

I think playing the game at a neutral venue makes sense for @FAIreland. 1. It stops Israel being gifted 3 points. 2. It removes a huge security bill. 3. It stops Irish antisemitism being fully exposed. 4. It gives genuine fans a chance to see the match. rte.ie/sport/soccer/2026/060…

And are @rtenews @rte @RTEsport going to broadcast this? The same @rte who boycotted the Eurovision because of what Israel is doing? Yet it's totally fine to broadcast this shambles? @FansAgainstIsrl

Slap in the face for Irish fans (of which I am not one, but if you are a season ticket holder) to see and hear this? Will we have the same allocation as if it were a home game?
I presume fans will be allowed at this then since it’s a home game? Or are they gonna give us an extra home game to make up for the game on our ST’s. No doubt a friendly against Andorra at home will make up for it. One big fucking mess

This is so undemocratic denying Irish football fans who wish to protest against the genocidal Israeli state the right to protest at a match where we are supposed to have "home advantage" - up to the players now to refuse.
