Did you know that poor plastic disposal is fueling Uganda’s climate crisis? Every day, plastics are dumped in trenches, scattered in open spaces, or burnt in the air we breathe. This careless disposal block drainage systems, contaminates soils, poisons water sources, and releases toxic gases when burnt worsening both human health and climate change. Single-use plastics are the main cause. They don’t disappear, instead, they break down into microplastics that enter our food, water, and even the air we breathe. These tiny particles disrupt ecosystems, harm wildlife, and silently threaten human life. Wasteplus refuses to watch this crisis grow. We collect discarded plastics and recycle them into valuable products showing that waste can be turned into opportunity. Our work reduces pollution, creates green jobs, and inspires communities to take action.
