This year's student skills projects took 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th place! Best yet? Watauga Watauga County Schools now has its first Skills member who has been elected to a state office!! Also? A HUGE thanks to smileonadg.org for donating the funds needed to feed these kids

I'm back from Skills and couldn't be prouder. Our largest group ever, and they took home medals in Automotive and Art! Great Job, Kids!

What a year. My time as the BWF NW Region Teacher of the Year is drawing to a close. Thankfully, my replacement is here to take over. Congratulations to Tayer Bomar. Enjoy the ride, my friend!

That's a wrap! Students from the automotive department traveled to Cape Fear Community College to learn about their marine mechanics programs before heading over to see the incredible Battleship North Carolina. Special thanks to Gear Up for helping fund this great trip!

What a great moment! This guy along with a friend managed to fulfill a year-long dream. They pulled the engine from this Subaru with no help from the rest of us! I'm so proud of you guys!! You Did it!!

The Spring NATEF cookout is going to look a little different this year. We are combining that event with a HUGE car show. Join us from 10 to 2pm Saturday, June 1st For Cars, Food, And Raffles, including 2 cars!! It's here at the high school in the teacher parking lot.

Another Great SkillsUSA State Competition is over. We had 5 teams compete and came home with 3 winning projects. I'm so proud of all these kiddos!!

Round 3! This week we took students to see our friends at CCCI. Automotive, Welding, Bodywork, and Lineman classes were all toured. Very cool opportunities here!

Round two! Students from our Autotech programs took a trip down to GTCC to see the great programs they offer. Welding, Machining, bodywork, and heavy/light auto repairs. Pretty cool! Next up? Down to our partners at Caldwell.
