It looks like Watchsmith’s complication rendering isn’t working in the watchOS 7 beta. I think I’ve found the problem and should be able to get a fix out soon, but in the meantime you’ll just get empty entries for all types.
V1.3.2 just added a new tile game (à la 2048) to the Games area. The board persists between sessions so you can pick up and put down your game whenever you have a minute. apps.apple.com/us/app/watchs…
I just released v1.3 which introduces dynamic, interactive overlay maps. These include an animated radar map, live workout tracking and workout route maps. david-smith.org/blog/2020/06…
Version 1.2 released:
- Adds support for text types for Utility, Simple, Solar, etc
- Support for bezel text on Infograph and California faces
- VoiceOver support for all complications
v1.1 is out. It includes a substantial UI improvement based on the feedback I’ve received. I’ve tried to clear up the parts of the app that were causing confusion. Also, I’ve recorded a longer walkthrough video showing the app in full use. youtu.be/XcamUbXse4E
v1.0.5 rolling out. Primary feature is the ability to select a subset of available calendars or locations for display on a complication. Also, first stage in a lot of fixes to make Time complications update more reliably.
v1.0.4 is out. Fixes a situation where some memberships weren’t getting applied and adds Conway’s Game of Life (in the Whimsy section).
If you aren’t familiar with it, Game of Life a beautiful visualization of complexity arising out of simplicity: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conway…
V1.0.2 just hit the App Store. It includes:
- a “pixel art” style hourly forecast
- a rounded hourglass style
- and a lot of little bug fixes I’ve found since launch.
The next complication I want to make is a ‘boxy’ weather display for the wide modular slot. Something very geometric and angular. This is my initial sketch of the idea.
I just did the math on how many possible combinations of settings are possible within Watchsmith…for just the Circular type you can currently generate 96,605 unique complications. (!)
Experimenting with a new weather style, a 24 hour dial with the temperature shown both by color and radius from middle. Not 100% sure about it yet, but kinda like the direction.
