They’ve lost their identity.
They’re a slightly above average looking ‘European’ team and (disgracefully) hiring a European manager only perpetuates that problem.
They need to make Brazil Brazilian again.
Brazil have not won a World Cup since securing their fifth title in 2002.
There followed a series of European successes (Italy, Spain, Germany, France) before the anguish, for Brazilians, of seeing big South American rivals Argentina win a third world title in Qatar four years ago.
Their longing to be world champions again is what led them to hire Carlo Ancelotti and his staff at considerable expense, hoping that the Italian, with his experience of high-pressure situations at several of the biggest clubs in Europe, can lead them back to the biggest prize of all.

In 1994 they played a lot of games at midday or early afternoon local time so they could be broadcast in the evening in Europe at more regular evening times
The final kicked off at midday local time, which is absolute madness when you think about it now
There’s a lot of discourse around the kick-off times in this World Cup.
We all knew it was being held in the US, in a different time zone, didn’t we?
Were the kick-off times the same in 1994, or, because England weren’t there, did we simply not notice?
Or do people just enjoy finding something to be outraged by in the age of social media?

The problem is, knowing FIFA they will probably look to solve this problem by creating a 64 team World Cup next time
This game is a classic example of why this new World Cup format is a waste of everyone's time. If Scotland win this they're through. In a four team group neither would have a hope in hell vs Brazil and Morocco. FIFA creating a round of 32 for money when there will be massacres.
