Military Update:
Today it was announced I was selected for promotion to full colonel (0-6) in the Air Force Reserve JAG Corps.
To say I am humbled and grateful would be an understatement.
First and foremost, I am grateful to God for his grace in allowing me to get selected. Second, my wife Jen—a veteran herself—has been a constant advocate of my military career. I am grateful for a loving and supportive wife, especially when serving takes time away from our young family.
Over the past 19 years there have been so many people who have been instrumental in mentoring me and encouraging me in my military career. For fear of leaving them off this list, I will be reaching out to them personally in gratitude.
After leaving the presidency in 1909, the story goes Theodore Roosevelt preferred the title, “Colonel” as opposed to “Mr. President” as he believed his time with the rough riders was the defining moment of his life. Today, I understand that sentiment completely, Colonel Roosevelt.
I am excited for this next chapter of my military career. Congrats to the other promotees!
