.@CAgovernor did the right thing by vetoing four bills that would have delayed progress on cleaning our air, implementing our landmark vehicle standards, and protecting communities near ports and busy roadways. Now we can keep moving forward.

My bill, #AB2401, targeting #EV rebates toward lower-income, high-mileage drivers, will now be considered by the Gov. We can make a bigger dent in reducing GHG emissions if we focus on gasoline “superusers” & help them switch to a clean car. More info: a19.asmdc.org/press-releases…

This bill responds to an @Greenlining and @UCSUSA report showing that pre-2004 vehicles represent fewer than one-fifth of the cars on California roads, but produce more nitrogen oxides and reactive organics gas emissions than all newer vehicles combined.
